Design as a cross-sectional discipline – sustainable materials in object
design with eco-softfibre. "Design as a cross-sectional discipline" investigates
the usability and sustainability of a material through intervention in
cooperation with eco-softfibre, which manufactures an ecological foam.
The work deals with the (re)design and on the values of the company
reinterpretation / extension of the product portfolio. The result is
a system solution, for the standard panels, which meets the physical properties
and allows a flexible and individual use of the foam. It also includes
investigations into the shape, surface structure, alternative joining methods
and production processes of the material.
